What Is Silk Plaster?

Silk plaster — also known as liquid wallpaper — is a decorative wall coating made from natural fibres (silk, cotton, cellulose) mixed with binders and pigments. Unlike traditional wallpaper, it's applied wet directly to the wall, creating a seamless, relief texture without seams, joints, or bubbles.

The result is a soft, tactile finish that looks and feels far more sophisticated than standard paint. It hides minor surface imperfections naturally, making it ideal for older walls with minor texture variation.

Why Glow-in-the-Dark Silk Plaster Is a Game-Changer

Our specialty glow-in-the-dark silk plaster incorporates photoluminescent pigments that charge under ambient light and emit a soft, ethereal glow in the dark. The effect is subtle enough for adult spaces — not the novelty green of children's toys — and creates an ambiance unlike anything conventional paint or wallpaper can achieve.

It's particularly striking in bedrooms, home theatres, feature walls in living areas, and hallways.

Durability and Maintenance

Silk plaster is surprisingly practical. It's breathable, which helps regulate humidity and resist mould. Minor damage can be repaired invisibly — just wet the area, apply a patch of the same material, and blend. No matching seams, no visible repairs.

Is It Right for Your Space?

Silk plaster works best in low-moisture areas. Bathrooms and kitchens with direct water exposure are not ideal, though half-baths and powder rooms are fine with proper ventilation. For everything else, it's a luxurious upgrade that genuinely needs to be seen (and seen in the dark) to be believed.
